about

Hello dear listener and welcome to Tidbits of a Lonely Heart ft. Eve Parker Finely. Our journey begins slow, hypnotizing and haunting like two hearts failing to synchronize. Au l'invers is the upside down quality of wanting, with anxious pianos trilling honestly. Eve's rampant and marvelous piano skills really shine in her layering of stems, and draw us in, almost to tears. We take a trip outside with City Life, to me almost an ode to the Before Days when normalcy had a more traditional vibe of underlying anxiety and stress, instead of overwhelming us. Dust In The Solar Wind takes our hands and asks "what is consciousness? Are we really alone? are there pianos in space?"
I Love Myself And I Want To Live is something that I've been trying to say every day, especially during quarantine. Eve beautifully conveys emotion through her shimmering emotional aurora borealis of key strokes. Star Trek: Mile End continues the galactic theme of Dust, but with the breathtaking beauty of Eve's playing. Our last track, Why Do I, is a messy round, frought with emotion. I definitely started crying at the end of recording it. Eve's instrumentation is a phenomenal soundscape that draws even me in, and I've heard this song 20 times now.
I'm very fortunate to have had the pleasure of collaborating with Eve on this album. She is a ridiculously talented, funny, and genuine woman, whose music and smile can win over any heart.
